RSD: Foundations

            With the bestseller “The Game” out to the public, shows like Dr. Phil featuring dating gurus, and the possibility of a major studio movie about pick-up in the works, the community is worried.  Will girls know all our lines?  What if we get “caught?”  Will our tactics not work anymore?

            If you are afraid of your game suffering from media exposure, I am here to present the vaccination for all your fears:  The Real Social Dynamics Foundations Series.  While Tyler made his name in a very routine-based, scripted style of pick-up, he has moved to a style that does not depend on routines.  You can still use routines of course.  In fact, this DVD set is stunningly compatible with every pick-up style out there.  It’s just not necessary anymore to have scripted lines. 

            Tyler has identified specific elements needed in every pick-up.  If you have these pieces in, you’re good, and the rules are not something you have to think about.  Aside from a few specific examples Tyler gives in the series (which he warns you will be overused soon), if you do what he says, no girl will ever ask you in field “I’ve heard that before, have you read ‘The Game’?”  His “openers” have turned from multi-level opinion-openers, to “Hey, what are you drinking?”  “Hi, how are you doing tonight?”  This is natural game at its best, fellas.

            I have long thought that Tyler is the Buddha of pick-up.  He sees the big picture of how the social matrix works, doesn’t dwell on the details, and works endlessly to bring people to his level.  He does not deify himself, and cuts down any notion that he is cut from a different cloth.  “What I can do, you can do,” is the message. 

            This is a DVD set that can be watched over and over again, to pick up the subtle details.  I think people who have the audio-only set are at a significant disadvantage because they miss out on the facial expressions of Tyler’s delivery, as well as several kino (touch) demonstrations. 

            I began watching the set with a few friends in the living room who were excited to see this new RSD product.  We popped in the first DVD, and about a half hour later, the people there with little to no cold-approach experience were bugging me to move to one of the later ones that had more “content” (routines, tactics, etc.) .  I refused of course, as there was a ton of content available from the first ten minutes.  I lent the DVDs to a master instructor at another pick-up teaching company, and he had the same experience.  His friends who didn’t have practice in the field wanted to skip DVD 1.  How ironic that the people who have the most pick-up experience are the ones who can get the most out of the introductory DVD of the set. 

            The DVD set is called “Foundations” for a reason.  Tyler wants to build an indomitable structure from which you can eventually be effortless in getting the women you want.  Because of that, he has to start at the bottom and give you a very stable foundation.  He lays cement over the rocky ground so it’s even.  If you don’t have the foundations, your structure will be rickety.  The most advanced guys know this.  Some parts may make you think “I KNOW this already.”  But do you?  Are you living your life by these principles?  Ask yourself that.  If you’re not, take notes and make sure you apply it. 

            Once you get past the initial master strategy, he takes you through every element necessary to be successful with women, including hooking the set’s attention, qualifying, vibing, and venue changing.  Tyler has learned from more teachers than anyone in the community, so after 2 long years of waiting for a product, I was eager to see what principles he would keep and what he would set aside.  Rest assured than anything he tells you to do is important to at least consider.  He sets it up in such a simple fashion that it becomes apparent if you stick this out, you can have a lot of success.

            On the second half of DVD 7, we get a hint of what his upcoming book, The Blueprint, will be like.  This is a profound half hour, folks.  To put it in perspective, I took 25 pages of notes on the whole 8 hour set, and 25% of my notes (6 pages) were from that half hour alone.  A lot of pausing, writing, and contemplating.  Tyler tells you where your state comes from, and how to make it come from your core confidence.  This is not wishy-washy self help stuff; this is intense!  You can see Tyler’s passion about the subject, and by the end of DVD 8 you are left with the conclusion that Tyler will eventually transcend the pick-up scene and become the next Anthony Robbins.

            In the last parts of DVDs 7 and 8, Tyler explains what really makes someone attractive to women and general, in terms of how much value they give, vs. how much value they take.  It is this principle that hammers into you how important this aspect of your inner game is.  After finishing the set, you may find yourself wondering if you need any techniques at all, given the truths you have just learned.   The rub is, I guess, that in order to get to the point where you can absolutely drop everything, you need to go through the learning period first using the outer tactics.  For pick-up artists on any level, this is a must-have.
